I currently work at Ascenti Digital, a healthcare company that provides physiotherapy and mental health services. My responsibilities include contributing to the modernization and maintenance of the company's web applications and services:

• Modernizing legacy web applications using .NET technologies, resulting in improved performance and reliability.
• Developing and maintaining web applications using .NET technologies.
• Creating APIs and rewriting or wrapping existing services for internal use and integration with external organizations.
• Implementing SQL Server jobs, scripts, and stored procedures to customize business or customer workflows.
• Setting up and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Developing and hosting applications on IIS, Azure Functions, App Services, and Docker containers in Azure.
• Adapting user stories and requirements into functional solutions.

The computer science program at the University of Bath offers a diverse and comprehensive education in the field. In addition to covering the foundational concepts and principles of computer science, the course encourages independent thinking and research. Through group projects such as research papers and software engineering, students have the opportunity to develop collaboration and practical skills. Overall, this program effectively prepares students for careers in computer science.
